Story 2 Screen Kids is a 12 week course that will lead students through the basics of Film Pre Production, Production and Post Production. In collaboration with Publicist Marlene Palumbo with Indienink, award winning producers Eric Vollweiler from Support Indie Film, Jon Croft with Liberty No. 5 Pictures & TPA Film Bar, Jack Cambell with Camtel Media, Antonio Correia from The Bonita Springs Film Festival, and UFTA The United Film and Television Artists and in connection with our Fostering Future Filmmakers initiative, GETTVLIVE will select up to five students from foster and adoptive families to receive free access to the class. The class will be taught online through video modules, webinars, and scheduled strategic 1 on 1 sessions. Classes will be offered in Spring, Summer and Winter sessions. It will include use of all necessary tools (I.e. editing software, Dropbox folder with course files, licensed music, music creation, graphic design, licensed stock footage...) excluding whatever camera is accessible to the student. Students may utilize any camera available, there are no exceptions. Students will also need to have access to the internet and a phone. Students will be required to use Facetime, Skype, Zoom or other applicable video conferencing tools on occasion. Students will also be required to call in for teleconferencing and utilize email and Dropbox for assignments. Upon completion of the 12 week class the student will have a completed short film that will be prescreened and selected by a group of film professionals. Up to the top ten films will then be submitted for screening and selection. The 2 top rated films will be represented by Indienink for publicity and future promotion of the winners, and be submitted to The Bonita Springs Film festival as well as one other festival of our choosing for all 3 semesters Spring (April -July 2020), Summer (August-November 2020) and Winter (December-March 2021). Classes are $25 / week and will include up to 5 hours a week of videos, webinars, modules or 1 on 1 conferences. Prepaid discount is $250 for the 12 week class.
